Features and Functions (4)
There are two ways of doing this. Both use Xcelero’s Advanced Edit capability. In the first approach, the analyst captures the first data set from the webpage, uses Advanced Edit to tweak the data and then does a ‘Save As’ to clone the test data set. For larger volumes, we have an Export / Import feature that allows export of the data map to a CSV file. This file is then edited in Microsoft Excel to add as many rows with data variations as needed. This CSV file can then be imported to load a large test data set.
Our sandbox is periodically refreshed. What happens to our test case repository we have built in it?
We use a continuous integration platform (Jenkins / Microsoft TFS). Can Xcelero trigger test case execution from it?
Xcelero reports pass/fail at the test case level, success criteria level and at the group/process flow level. Screenshots are taken after all fields on the page are populated before the form is submitted and after the form is submitted. In case of failure, apart from the error message and screenshots, a log that details the progress of the test case execution is also provided.
